i like it in Desperado when Cheech Marin/ short bartender gets a paintball in the head, or for that matter when Quentin Tarantino gets it to.

i liked the American Beauty shot, but i had 1 prob with it, he gets shot in the back of the head and it goes on the wall, so why later on when you see Colonel Frank Fitts in his white t=shirt, why is he caked in blood? it should have gone forward, and not back, he shouldnt have had hardly any of that blood on it, sorry for being a pain but it was a daft mistake

If you shot someone in the head at close range with a powerful handgun you would get a lot of blow-back. But you wouldn't get blood on the wall behind (unless you were using a high-powered rifle).

nice topic fella. Got to agree with loads of you. Not really for the wounds but the effects.

    1. Private Pile in Full Metal Jacket. Shoots drill Sergeant then himself... coooool.

    2. Fight Club last scene. Ed Norton Shooting himself. Wicked.

    3. Terminator 2. The Metal Termy Copper gettin shot then it disappears.

    4. Lock Stock "It's me Bren Gun". When Gloria picks it up and only hits one person. Feckin women and guns don't mix.

    5. Heat. The fire and movement scene. Choreagraphed by Andy McNab of Bravo Two Zero misfortune no-less.

I just thought of another one. It's from a flick called "Buffalo '66". In it, the main guy shoots himself, and they do this kind of matrix thing where they move the camera around a still image. A freakin' amazing flick, also. You should all go rent it.

Definately the one in "It's Pat". You know, where the audience members form a suicide pact and then blow thier brains out when Pat says "I played with the ween!"
